Ampt what is it used for?
The ampt is also known as the Asphalt Material Performance Tester which is a complete package that is used to test the durability of asphalt materials when put under stressful conditions. With the AASHTO TP79 you can also choose to know the dynamic modulus of a hot asphalt mix. Most of these stress tests contain an environmental chamber, triaxial cell, hydraulic actuator and a pump, heating and refrigeration unit. The sample asphalt mix that is to be tested is put in the chamber of the testing equipment which also lets the tester to view it at all times. The test results that are obtained are useful for industries and construction companies.
