Deposit Requirements: Dish Network vs Dish TV
Each satellite company has its own rules on how much the deposit will be when signing up for service. The difference between Dish Network vs Direct TV is that Dish will hook you up for service, but you can pay the deposit over time. Direct TV won’t sign you up at all, unless you have the required deposit. That is the reason I signed up for Dish in the beginning because Direct TV kept telling me that I needed so much money in order for a technician to come out and hook me up for services. Dish is more about getting customers, whereas Direct TV is about money.
